The People Behind Your Financial Future

We're not your typical finance consultants. Our team combines decades of hands-on experience with a genuine commitment to helping Australians build sustainable financial habits that actually work in real life.

Three people who care more about your long-term success than quick fixes.

Helena Vinterberg, Financial Planning Director

Helena Vinterberg

Financial Planning Director

Helena spent fifteen years working with families across regional NSW before joining felariontha in early 2024. She's seen every budgeting mistake imaginable – and made a few herself back in her twenties.

What sets her apart? She doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all approaches. Some clients need strict spreadsheets, others do better with visual trackers. Helena figures out what actually works for you, not what looks good in a textbook.

Outside work, she's renovating a 1920s cottage in Port Macquarie and learning just how quickly renovation budgets can spiral. That first-hand experience keeps her grounded when helping clients plan their own big financial projects.

Torsten Ljungqvist, Long-term Strategy Advisor

Torsten Ljungqvist

Long-term Strategy Advisor

Torsten moved to Australia from Stockholm in 2019 and noticed something interesting – many people here had great incomes but surprisingly little put aside for their fifties and beyond. Not because they were careless, but because nobody taught them how to think thirty years ahead.

He specializes in helping clients in their thirties and forties create realistic plans that don't require living like monks today. His philosophy? Your budget should fund both your current life and your future one, without sacrificing either completely.

Before joining felariontha, Torsten worked with the Swedish pension system. That background gives him a unique perspective on retirement planning that goes beyond just "save more money."

Amara Okonkwo, Client Support Specialist

Amara Okonkwo

Client Support Specialist

Amara is often the first person you'll speak with at felariontha, and clients frequently tell us that conversation alone made them feel less anxious about their finances. She has this gift for making complex situations feel manageable.

She came to financial planning through an unusual route – psychology. After completing her degree in 2022, she realized that money stress was affecting nearly everyone she knew, but few were getting practical support that actually helped.

Now she works with clients on the day-to-day challenges that don't make it into planning meetings. How to handle unexpected bills. What to do when your carefully planned budget gets disrupted by life. The small adjustments that make long-term planning actually sustainable.

What We Actually Do

These aren't just job descriptions. They're the specific ways we help clients move from financial stress to genuine stability over time.

Realistic Budget Design

We build budgets based on your actual spending patterns, not idealized versions. Then we adjust them as life changes, because it always does.

Long-term Thinking

Most people plan for next year. We help you think about the next twenty. Where do you want to be at fifty-five? What needs to happen financially to make that possible?

Emergency Planning

Car breaks down. Roof starts leaking. Medical bills appear. We help you prepare for the disruptions that derail most budgets before they even start.

Habit Formation

Good financial outcomes come from consistent habits, not occasional heroic efforts. We focus on building routines that stick even when motivation fades.

Australian Context

Superannuation. CGT. First home schemes. Australian finances have unique considerations that overseas advice often misses. We specialize in what actually applies here.

Ongoing Adjustment

Your financial plan isn't a document you create once and forget. We meet regularly to adjust as your income, family situation, and goals evolve over the years.

How We Work With Clients

First meetings happen in person at our Port Macquarie office or via video call if you're further out. We spend that time understanding where you are now – income, expenses, debts, savings, goals. No judgment about past decisions, just honest assessment of the current situation.

Then we build a plan together. Not us telling you what to do, but collaborative work that respects your priorities while steering toward sustainable outcomes. Some clients need weekly check-ins at first. Others prefer monthly reviews. We adapt to what helps you succeed.

What Makes Us Different

We're small enough that you'll work with the same people every time. Helena, Torsten, and Amara aren't going anywhere – we're building long-term relationships because that's how financial planning actually works.

We're also honest about what we can't control. Markets fluctuate. Life throws curveballs. Interest rates change. What we can do is help you build financial flexibility that survives those disruptions. That's been our focus since we opened in 2023, and it's what our clients value most about working with us.
